WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Public Safety has awarded the Prosecuting Attorney's office a grant in the amount of $39,300.00 as funding for its Victim Services Volunteer Coordinator Program; and,
WHEREAS, this program serves crime victims; and,
WHEREAS, said grant is subject to a $7,962.00 local match for which a transfer and appropriation are necessary; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2001 General Fund and appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2001 Grant Fund be made:
