IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title AN ORDINANCE amending the districts established by the Jackson County Zoning Order by changing from A (Agricultural) to RE (Residential Estates), a certain 37.7 + acre tract and approving the preliminary plat "Town and Country Estates," creating a nine-lot residential subdivision. Intro ORDINANCE 2752, November 10, 1997 INTRODUCED BY Fred Arbanas, County Legislator Body BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows: Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE a tract of land described as follows: Legal Description: A 37.7ñ acre tract of land is generally located at the northwest corner of Missouri Highway 7 and Missouri Highway 150 and is specifically described: Part of the S « of the NE 1/4 of Section 30, Township 47 North, Range 30 West, in Jackson County, Missouri, described as follows: Commencing at the southwest corner of said NE 1/4; thence N 00 09'42" E along the west line of said NE 1/4, a distance of 660.00 feet to a point being the northwest corner of LOT 2 of OAK ACRES, a subdivision in said County and State; thence continuing N 00 09'42" E along said west line, a distance of 653.38 feet to the northwest corner of the S « of said NE 1/4; thence N 87 48'03" E along the north line of the S « of said NE 1/4, a distance of 1664.16 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence N 87 48'03" E, continuing along the north line of the S « of said NE 1/4, a distance of 948.54 feet to a point on the existing west right of way line of M-7 Highway; thence S 00 01'16" W along said west line, a distance of 1282.06 feet to a point of intersection with the existing north right of way line of M-150 Highway; thence the following three (3) courses along said existing north right of way line; 1) S 87 59'39" W, a distance of 151.13 feet; 2) S 82 17'01" W, a distance of 100.50 feet; 3) S 87 59'39" W, a distance of 1 341.71 feet t a point being 50.04 feet distance from the southeast corner of LOT 1 said OAK ACRES subdivision; thence N 00 09'42" E parallel with and 50.00 feet normal to the east line of said subdivision, a distance of 657.49 feet; thence N 87 59'39" E, a distance of 6 42.45 feet; thence N 00 01'16" E, a distance of 631.44 feet to the Point of Beginning, containing 37.735 acres, more or less, and being subject to easements and rights of way of record. Section 2. The preliminary plat "Town and Country Estates," creating a nine-lot residential subdivision, is hereby approved. Section 3. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Ralph Scofield (RZ-97-082), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on October 23, 1997, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning...Attorney Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
