AN ORDINANCE rescinding the votes to perfect and adopt Ordinance 2755 of January 5, 1998, withdrawing Ordinance 2755, and adopting the annual budget and setting forth appropriations for the various spending agencies and the principal subdivisions thereof, for the fiscal year ending December 31, 1998.

Body
WHEREAS, on January 5, 1998, the Legislature did vote to adopt Ordinance 2755, which would have adopted the 1998 Jackson County budget; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance 2755 has not been signed by the County Executive; and,
WHEREAS, since the vote of January 5, 1998, subsequent discussions between the Legislature and County Executive have resulted in an agreement on a modified 1998 Jackson County Budget; and,
WHEREAS, as a result of this agreement, it is appropriate that the votes to perfect and adopt Ordinance 2755 of January 5, 1998, be rescinded and that that ordinance be withdrawn; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive now recommends the appropriations embodied in this Ordinance; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following amounts are appropriated for the fiscal year ending December 31, 1998, from the funds designated below for the spending agencies receiving funds therefrom:

Said Funds are appropriated to each agency in accordance with the 1998 "Schedule of Appropriations by Spending Agency" in the detail and for the purposes contained and set forth in the budget document submitted to and approved by the County Legislature as attached hereto and incorporated herein, as amended by the budget amendment document attached hereto and marked "Attachment A;" and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the votes to perfect and adopt Ordinance 2755 of January 5, 1998, be and hereby are rescinded; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that Ordinance 2755 be and hereby is withdrawn.

Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
