Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fiscal Commission was empowered by Ordinance #1771, #1795 and #1941 to make recommendations to the Legislature for the expenditure of Anti-Drug Sales Tax Funds for the purposes of treatment and rehabilitation of drug offenders; and,
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has reviewed a proposal from Comprehensive Mental Health Services to provide counseling and case management for those affected by substance abuse; and,
WHEREAS, Comprehensive Mental Health Services has received funding in 1991, 1992, 1993, and 1994 for this program upon the recommendation of the Fiscal Commission; and,
WHEREAS, Comprehensive Mental Health Services submitted a proposal for this funding for its work with substance abusers from the Anti-Drug-Sales Tax Trust Fund in the amount of $19,000; and,
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has carefully reviewed this 1995 proposal from Comprehensive Mental Health Services; and,
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has recommended funding in the amount of $19,000 from the Anti-Drug Sales Tax for Comprehensive Mental Health Services' proposal; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Chair of the Fiscal Commission is hereby authorized to enter into the attached agreement, a copy of which is incorporated herein by reference, with Comprehensive Mental Health Services; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
