A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute a Consulting Agreement with Claire West Consulting, LLC, of Jefferson City, Missouri, for consulting services in connection with the Jackson County Employees' Pension Plan, at a cost to the County not to exceed $25,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the Legislature has a need for consulting on the annual pension requirements and the County's ability to budget and pay the associated costs; and,
WHEREAS, Claire West Consulting is qualified to and will perform these consulting services involved with issues relating to the Jackson County Employees' Pension Plan, including any legislative proposal or ordinance on the state and/or local level; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County the attached Consulting Agreement with Claire West Consulting, LLC, of Jefferson City, MO, at a cost to the County not to exceed $25,000.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.

This expenditure will be made from funds in custody of M&I Bank as Trustee. The source of these funds is the Jackson County, Missouri Revised Pension Plan. This Revenue Certificate is not signed by the Director of Finance and Purchasing because such funds are not subject to annual appropriation and not within his custody.
