BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE a tract of land described as follows:
Description:
A 3 ± acre tract generally located less than 1/4 of a mile west of Union School Road on the north side of Courtney-Union School Road and more specifically described:
All that part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 17, Township 50, Range 31, Jackson County, Missouri being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at a point on the South line of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 17, said point being 973.0 feet East of the Southwest corner thereof thence along the South line of said Northeast Quarter, South 87 degrees, 48 minutes, 40 seconds East, 460.05 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence at right angles to the South line of said Northeast Quarter, North 02 degrees, 11 minutes, 20 seconds East, 436.0 feet; thence parallel to the South line of said Northeast Quarter, South 87 degrees, 48 minutes, 40 seconds East 330.0 feet; thence at right angles to the South line of said Northeast Quarter, South 02 degrees, 11 minutes, 20 seconds West, 436.0 feet to a point on the South line of said Northeast Quarter; thence along the South line of said Northeast Quarter, North 87 degrees, 48 minutes, 40seconds West, 330.0 feet to the point of beginning, containing 3.303 acres more or less, except that part in Union School Road aka 19300 Union School Road.
Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Lois Feif (RZ-2001-227), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on March 15, 2001, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
