Body
WHEREAS, various County Departments have need of a wide assortment of janitorial supplies; and,
WHEREAS, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Invitation to Bid No. 26-022 for the furnishing of janitorial supplies for use by various County departments; and,
WHEREAS, a total of 6,121 notifications were distributed and sixteen (16) responses were received, two (2) of which were rejected for not completing the mandatory submissions, with the remaining fourteen (14) bids evaluated from the following bidders:

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6, Jackson County Code, 1984, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a twenty-four-month term and supply contract, with two (2) twelve-month options to extend, for the furnishing of janitorial supplies to Hillyard Inc., of Kansas City, MO; Imperial Bag & Paper Co. LLC (dba Imperial Dade) of Kansas City, MO; and RJ Kool Company of Missouri dba Controlled Environment Products, LLC of North Kansas City, MO, as the lowest and best bidders meeting specifications; and,
WHEREAS, a split award is recommended to allow various Departments to have access to various specialty products and to prevent supply issues; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount, with an estimated annual expenditure of $691,000.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Interim Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have been made in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
