BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "AG" (Agricultural) and “RE” (Residential Estates) Districts, so that there will be transferred from District AG to District RE a 3.00± tract of land located at 31403 E. Ryan Road in Jackson County, MO, legally described as follows:
Description: A TRACT OF LAND IN THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 10, TOWNSHIP 48, RANGE 30, IN JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY ROGER A. BACKUES, PLS-2134, ON JULY 7, 2026, AS FOLLOWS:
COMMENCING AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER
OF SECTION 10; THENCE ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF SAID NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 10, NORTH 87 DEGREES 25 MINUTES 03 SECONDS WEST, 331.84 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE SOUTH 01 DEGREES 55 MINUTES 01 SECONDS WEST, 657.14 FEET TO A POINT ON THE SOUTH LINE OF THE NORTH 20 ACRES OF THE EAST HALF OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 10; THENCE ALONG SAID SOUTH LINE, NORTH 87 DEGREES 25 MINUTES 03 SECONDS WEST, 331.84 FEET; THENCE NORTH 01 DEGREES 55 MINUTES 01 SECONDS EAST, 657.14 FEET TO A POINT ON THE NORTH LINE OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 10; THENCE
ALONG SAID NORTH LINE, SOUTH 87 DEGREES 25 MINUTES 03 SECONDS EAST,
331.84 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. CONTAINING 5.01 ACRES, MORE OR
LESS, EXCEPT THAT PART IN ROAD.
Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Derek & Emily Craver and David & Nichola Hogan (RZ-2026-726), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission voted 8 to 0 to recommend APPROVAL of this application after a public hearing on September 17, 2026, does hereby adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
