Body
WHEREAS, Resolution 11370, dated July 29, 1996, authorized the County Executive to execute an Agreement out of anti-drug sales tax funds with the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation and Affiliated Trusts to establish a summer evening program to operate in eight schools under the administration of YouthNet and the Boys and Girls Clubs; and,
WHEREAS, the original agreement required quarterly payments, with a termination date of June 30, 1997; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney advises that these terms do not accurately reflect the nature or meet the needs of the Foundation's program and now recommends amending the agreement to reflect a termination date of October 31, 1996, and one lump sum payment, according to the terms and conditions of the First Addendum attached hereto; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be, and hereby is, authorized to execute the attached First Addendum to the Agreement with the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation and Affiliated Trust; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be, and hereby is, authorized to make all payments, including final payments on the Agreement and the First Addendum thereto.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
