Body
WHEREAS, Robert A. Stringfield, a lifelong resident of Kansas City, was elected to the Legislature in 2002; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Stringfield is a Certified Missouri School Board Association member, a former member of the Board of Directors of the Kansas City Missouri School District, former Executive Vice President for Local 6395, Communications Workers of America, and past President of Telephone Pioneers of America; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Stringfield was a production manager for Lucent Technologies and retired in 2003 with over 36 years of service; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Stringfield spent a total of 26 years in service to his Country by serving in the United States Army and Army Reserve, retiring in 1991 as a Command Sergeant Major; and,
WHEREAS, in addition to his service as a County Legislator, Mr. Stringfield has served the Jackson County community as a Bi-State Commissioner, a member of the Mid-America Regional Council Board of Directors, a member of the Bridging the Gap Board of Directors, and a Board member of Keep Kansas City Beautiful; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature recognizes Robert A. Stringfield for his service to the residents of the 1st District at Large and Jackson County as a whole.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
