IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION partially rescinding Resolution 11626, dated February 24, 1997, as to the contract with International Shavings of Garden Grove, CA, and awarding that part of the term and supply contract on Bid No. 161-96 for the furnishing of inmate undershirts for use by the Department of Corrections to ATD American of Wyncotte, PA, to provide for departmental needs for the remainder of the contract period, in the estimated amount of $30,000.00. Intro RESOLUTION #11964, November 24, 1997 INTRODUCED BY Dixie M. Flynn, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, by Resolution 11626, dated February 24, 1997, the County awarded term and supply contracts for furnishing of inmate clothing for use by the Department of Corrections to provide for departmental needs for a one-year period; and, WHEREAS, the award was divided at that time between Robinsons Textiles of Gardenia CA, Hamilton Uniform of Crosswicks, NJ, International Shavings of Garden Grove, CA, Bob Barker of Fuquay, NC, and Carefree Uniforms of Scottsdale, AZ; and, WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has been advised by International Shaving Systems that it is unable to fulfill its contract due to the unavailability of the inmate undershirts, and the Purchasing Director recommends that the contract with International Shavings of Garden Grove, CA be rescinded and awarded to the next lowest bidder, ATD American of Wyncotte, PA; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that Resolution No. 11626, dated February 24, 1997, be and hereby is partially rescinded; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
