Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 17623, dated July 11, 2011, the legislature did authorize the execution of Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreements with the cities of Oak Grove, Grain Valley, Buckner, Lake Lotawana, Greenwood, Lake Tapawingo, and Lone Jack, Missouri, to provide for the furnishing of dispatching services by the Sheriff's Office to be paid for out of fees paid by the cities; and,
WHEREAS, the fees received from these cities will support the addition of three new communications specialists positions for the Sheriff's Office to handle the increased demand for dispatching services; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the fees in the proper spending accounts to fund these positions through the remainder of 2011; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the undesignated fund balance of the 2011 Special Road and Bridge Fund be and hereby is made:
