BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE a tract of land described as follows:
Description:
A 10 ± acre tract of land generally located ½ mile west of Buckner-Tarsney Road on the south side of Stony Point School Road and more specifically described as:
COMMENCING AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 10, TOWNSHIP 48,RANGE 30 IN JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI; THENCE SOUTH 01 DEGREE, 47 MINUTES, 14 SECONDS WEST, 1313.88 FEET ALONG THE WEST LINE OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 10, TOWNSHIP 48, RANGE 30 TO THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 10, THENCE SOUTH 87 DEGREES, 33 MINUTES, 58 SECONDS EAST, 664.60 FEET ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 10, TO THE NORTHEAST CORNER THEREOF, SAID ALSO BEING THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 10, TOWNSHIP 48, RANGE 30, SAID CORNER BEING THE TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING OF THIS DESCRIPTION; THENCE CONTINUING SOUTH 87 DEGREES, 33 MINUTES, 58 SECONDS EAST, 664.60 FEET ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER TO THE NORTHEAST CORNER THEREOF; THENCE SOUTH 01 DEGREE, 51 MINUTES, 26 SECONDS WEST, 656.99 FEET ALONG THE EAST LINE OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER TO THE SOUTHEAST CORNER THEREOF; THENCE NORTH 87 DEGREES, 33 MINUTES, 43 SECONDS WEST, 664.20 FEET ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 10 TO THE SOUTHWEST CORNER THEREOF; THENCE NORTH 01 DEGREE, 49 MINUTES, 20 SECONDS EAST, 656.94 FEET ALONG THE WEST LINE OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER TO THE NORTHWEST CORNER THEREOF, SAID POINT BEING THE TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING OF THIS DESCRIPTION, AKA 31909 E STONY POINT SCHOOL ROAD.
Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Daniel McPherson (RZ-2000-220), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on February 15, 2001, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
