Body
WHEREAS, the Move Up - Fighting Back Coalition ("Move Up") collaborates with neighbor-hood residents, community groups and resource providers to restore neighborhoods to safe, drug-free, economically viable communities; and,
WHEREAS, the County Legislature did authorize the County Executive to execute an Agreement with Move Up by Resolution 15317, dated December 6, 2004; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive executed an Agreement dated December 28, 2004 which provided for $100,000 as a local match to a U.S. Department of Justice grant; and,
WHEREAS, Move Up has requested an additional sum of $32,400 for funding a community outreach staff position for a period of twelve (12) months; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this proposal and recommends the expenditure of these funds as part of 1st Addendum to the December 28th Agreement; and,
WHEREAS, this 1st Addendum to Agreement will provide Move Up with a Community Outreach Position, further described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a 1st Addendum to Agreement with Move Up, at a cost for the addendum not to exceed $32,400.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
