Body

 WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office, the Prosecuting Attorney's Office, the Department of Corrections, and the Drug Task Force have a need for law enforcement computer information services to check background information and obtain criminal histories; and,

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.2, Jackson County Code, 1984, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a twenty-four-month term and supply contract, with two twelve-month options to extend, to REJIS Commission of St. Louis, MO, for the furnishing of LEWeb law enforcement computer information services; and,

 

WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases remaining subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,

 

 

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing and that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing is hereby authorized to execute a User Agreement with the REJIS Commission of St. Louis, MO, and any other documents necessary to give effect to the intent of this Resolution, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are contained in the then current County budget.

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
