Body
WHEREAS, Jackson County Parks + Rec is requesting the authorization to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Lee’s Summit for event parking accommodations; and,
WHEREAS, the parking accommodations will be used for a Jackson’s County’s event “Trip the Light Fantastic: Bicycle Ride through Christmas in the Park,” to be held on November 23, 2025; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks + Rec recommends the execution of an Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement for this purpose, with specific contingencies, including in force insurance, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
WHEREAS, such an agreement is in the best interests of the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement with the City of Lee’s Summit at no cost to the County.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
