Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Electronic Solicitation No. BB20082 for the furnishing of golf course equipment for use by the Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, a total of twenty-nine (29) notifications were distributed and two (2) responsive bids were received as follows:

Kansas Golf & Turf, Inc., Wichita, KS $84,220.00
Turf Professionals, Overland Park, KS $66,144.67
and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends award to Kansas Golf & Turf, Inc., of Wichita, KS, as the lowest and best bidder, and declares two (2) Toro riding greens mowers obsolete and unusable personal property to be used as trade-ins on this purchase; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has requested that he be authorized to dispose of this equipment by way of trade-in; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the specified existing equipment be and hereby is declared surplus personal property and the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to dispose of it by way of trade-in.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
