BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District, "GB" (General Business) District, and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District, so that there will be transferred from Districts A and GB to District RE, a tract of land described as follows:
Description:
The 6.6 ± acres are generally located 300 feet north of Colbern Road on the east side of Shrout Road and is legally described as: All that part of the East Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 29, Township 48 North, Range 30 West, in Jackson County, Missouri being the same tract of land as described in Missouri Warranty Deed Document No. 19991 0010913, and now more fully described as follows: Beginning at a point 200.00 feet South of the South 25 acres of the East Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 29, Township 48 North, Range 30 West, in Jackson County, Missouri; thence along a line parallel with the North line of said 25 acres South 87 degrees 41 minutes 24 seconds East (this bearing and all following bearings being referenced to the South line of the East Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 29, Township 48 North, Range 30 West as having a bearing of South 87 degrees 41 minutes 24 seconds East), 653.40 feet; thence North along a line parallel with the West line of said East Half of the Northwest Quarter North 02 degrees 02 minutes 32 seconds East, 200.00 feet to a point on the North line of aforesaid 25 acres; thence along said North line South 87 degrees 41 minutes 24 seconds East, 122.09 feet; thence along a line parallel with the West line of said East Half of the Northwest Quarter South 02 degrees 02 minutes 32 seconds West, 561.16 feet; thence along a line parallel with the South line of the East Half of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 29, North 87 degrees 41 minutes 24 seconds West, 425.49 feet; thence along a line parallel with the West line of said East Half of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 29, North 02 degrees 02 minutes 32 seconds East, 46.71 feet; thence along a line parallel with the South line of said East Half of the Northwest Quarter North 87 degrees 41 minutes 24 seconds West, 350.00 feet to a point on the West line of said East Half of the Northwest Quarter; thence along said West line North 02 degrees 02 minutes 32 seconds East, 314.45 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Public Water Supply District 13 (RZ-2005-381), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission voted 6-1 to recommend approval of this application in a public hearing on November 17, 2005, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
