IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION authorizing the Purchasing Director to execute an Addendum extending for three years the existing term and supply contract with Kansas City Community Center, for the furnishing of weekend inmate housing for use by the Corrections Department, at a cost to the County not to exceed $55,000.00 for the first year. Intro RESOLUTION # 11247, April 8, 1996 INTRODUCED BY Dennis Waits, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, by Ordinance 2291, dated May 10, 1994, the Legislature approved a contract with Kansas City Community Center for the furnishing of weekend inmate housing for use by the Corrections Department; and, WHEREAS, this contract was for a term of two years, with the County reserving an option to extend the contract for an additional year at the same terms; and, WHEREAS, the Kansas City Community Center is now willing to extend the contract for three years on the same terms; and, WHEREAS, due to the scarcity of halfway-type inmate housing in the Kansas City area, the Purchasing Director now recommends this three-year extension through and including May 12, 1999, at a cost to the County not to exceed $55,000.00 for the first year; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Purchasing Director is hereby authorized to enter into the attached addendum to agreement, a copy of which is incorporated herein by reference, with Kansas City Community Center; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance be, and hereby is, authorized to make all payments, including final payment on this Agreement to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are included in the current Jackson County budget. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
