BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE, a tract of land described as follows:
Description:
The 3.4 ± acres are approximately ¾ of a mile north of U.S. Highway 24 on the south side of Blue Mills Road and specifically described as a tract of land located in part of the south half of Section 16, Township 50 north, Range 31 west, Jackson County, Missouri and being more particularly described as follows: commencing at the southeast corner of the west half of the southeast quarter of said Section 16; thence along the south line of said Section 16, north 87̊42'30" west, 975.09 feet; thence leaving the south line of said Section 16, north 11̊19'11" west, 716.10 feet, to the point of beginning; thence from the point of beginning, south 89̊38'12" west, 353.02 feet; thence north 00̊04'42" east, 441.67 feet, to a point on the southerly right-of-way line of Blue Mills Road; thence along said southerly right-of-way line, along a curve to the right 100.93 feet, having a curve radius of 532.93 feet, having a tangent bearing of north 66̊46'50" east; thence north 77̊37'54" east, 159.19 feet; thence leaving said southerly right-of-way line, south 11̊19'11" east, 514.34 feet, to the point of beginning, and contains 3.34 acres, more or less, aka 20309 E. Blue Mills Road.
Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Frances Mason (RZ-2007-437), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended approval of this application at a public hearing on July 19, 2007, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
