Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 12219, dated May 18, 1998, the County did enter into an agreement with Kansas City Community Center to provide funding for residential treatment of Drug Court clients in the amount of $141,588.80; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 12766, dated June 14, 1999, the Legislature authorized the County Executive to enter into a First Addendum to Agreement at an increased cost to the County of $122,444.88; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 13172, dated April 10, 2000, the Legislature authorized the County Executive to enter into a Second Addendum to Agreement at an increased cost to the County of $156,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County that the County provide additional funds to Kansas City Community Center in the amount of $37,394.49, upon the terms and conditions of the Third Addendum to the Agreement attached hereto; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Third Addendum to Agreement with the Kansas City Community Center; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments on the Agreement and all addenda thereto.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
