Body
WHEREAS, under Missouri law, a percentage of court costs assessed and collected in criminal matters is allocated to local law enforcement agencies to assist in the funding of required training for law enforcement personnel; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary in order to make these funds available to the Sheriff's and Parks and Recreation Departments for this purpose; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this appropriation as an amendment to his 2000 recommended Jackson County Budget; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2000 Law Enforcement Training Fund be and hereby is made:
