WHEREAS, Elva "Claudene" Collier of Raytown, Missouri, is retiring from the Jackson County Department of Finance after over 28 years as a loyal and dedicated Jackson County employee; and,
WHEREAS, Claudene began her employment with the Accounting/Collections Department as an Account Clerk on March 13, 1978; and,
WHEREAS, Claudene transferred to the Public Works Department as an Accounting Clerk II in November of 1978, returned to the Accounting/Collections Department in December of 1979 as an Accountant I, and ultimately transferred to what is now the Finance Department as an Account Analyst in September of 1983 where she was quickly promoted to her most recent position as Lead Account Analyst; and,
WHEREAS, Claudene has been a productive member of the Missouri Association of Counties for 28 years; and,
WHEREAS, Claudene is married to John M. Collier and they have been blessed with six (6) children; Sandy, Gina, Beth, Steven, Roy, and Paul, 21 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; and,
WHEREAS, Claudene is looking forward to travel with her husband, quilting, reading, gardening, artwork, enjoying her grandchildren, and most of all ignoring the alarm clock each morning; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature acknowledges Elva "Claudene" Collier for her more than twenty-eight years of service as a valued Jackson County employee and extends sincere best wishes for an enjoyable retirement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
