Body
WHEREAS, Mattie Rhodes Center's Substance Abuse Treatment program is a substance abuse treatment program which provides individual, family, and group counseling, and substance abuse treatment to Hispanic residents of Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, Mattie Rhodes Center has received a private grant from the H & R Block Foundation in the amount of $25,000.00 for this program; and,
WHEREAS, Mattie Rhodes Center has requested anti-drug sales tax matching funds in the amount of $25,000.00 for this program; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this request and recommends matching funding in the amount of $25,000.00 from his grant match account; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the attached Agreement with Mattie Rhodes Center; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is hereby authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
