ORDINANCE # 3273,   July 8, 2002

INTRODUCED BY   Victor E. Callahan, County Legislator

Body

WHEREAS, the Legislature has established the Jackson County, Missouri Tax Increment Financing Commission (the "Commission") pursuant to the Real Property Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act, Sections 99.800 to 99.865 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, as amended (the "TIF Act"); and,

WHEREAS, the Commission considered a redevelopment plan and project entitled "Tax Increment Financing Plan for SolarWOODS and SolarSTONE Business Park, Phase No. 2" (the "1991 Redevelopment Plan") and the designation of a redevelopment area described in the 1991 Redevelopment Plan (the "Redevelopment Area"); and

WHEREAS, pursuant to its Resolution No. 4 and Resolution No. 5, the Commission, after giving all notices required by the TIF Act and holding a public hearing at which all interested parties had an opportunity to be heard and at which the Commission heard and considered all protests and objections concerning the 1991 Redevelopment Plan and the Redevelopment Area, voted to recommend to the Legislature that the Redevelopment Area be designated a "redevelopment area" and that the 1991 Redevelopment Plan and certain redevelopment projects set forth therein (the "1991 Projects") be approved; and
