Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

 

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "GB" (General Business) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District GB, a tract of land described as follows:

                     Description:

 

The 10.1 ± acres are approximately 700 ± feet east of Ragsdale Road on the north side of U.S. Highway 50 and specifically described as That part of the southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 20, Township 47, Range 29 in Jackson County, Missouri, described as follows: 

 

Commencing at the Southwest corner of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 20; thence North 0 degrees 07 minutes 07 seconds West along the West line thereof a distance of 423.74 feet; thence North 89 degrees 53 minutes 35 seconds East a distance of 709.58 feet to the true point of beginning; thence North 89 degrees 53 minutes 35 seconds East a distance of 656.00 feet to the East line of said Quarter Quarter Section; thence South 0 degrees 05 minutes 40 seconds East along said East line a distance of 365.00 feet to the North right of way line of U.S. Route 50 as now established; thence South 89 degrees 53 minutes 35 seconds West along said North line a distance of 656.00 feet; thence North 0 degrees 05 minutes 40 seconds West a distance of 365.00 feet to the point of beginning.

 

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Bernie and Norma Jean Standiford (RZ-2006-394), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of this application at a public hearing on March 16, 2006, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
