RESOLUTION #10802, April 24, 1995
INTRODUCED BY Fred Arbanas, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the Little Blue Trace Trail and Lake Jacomo Marina are in need of reconstruction; and
WHEREAS, the United States Department of the Interior, National Park Service (NPS) through the Missouri State Inter-Agency Council for Outdoor Recreation (SIACOR) accepts applications made under the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) for a grant-in-aid of 50 percent of the total cost of such projects; and
WHEREAS, if a grant is awarded, the County will accept all responsibilities under the LWCF Act as amended and the policies of NPS and SIACOR, including, but not limited to, maintenance of the park for public outdoor recreation purposes in perpetuity, compliance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, underground wiring of all telephone and electrical wires under 15 KV within the park both under this project and in the future, and provision of facilities which are accessible to and usable by the physically disabilities; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the attached grant application, incorporated herein by reference.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
