Body
WHEREAS, Carrie Stapleton has been a productive and successful member of the Jackson County community for over twenty-five years; and,
WHEREAS, Ms. Stapleton is a board member of the Coda Jazz Fund which provides funeral and burial services to Kansas City career jazz musicians and a former board member of the Kansas City Ballet; and,
WHEREAS, she has also shared her time and talents with the Swope Health Services Treat Town event, Minority Coalition, Black Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City, Swope Health Services Jazz Outreach, Harmony Kansas City, Kansas City Fast Forward, Night Hoops, and Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey; and,
WHEREAS, Ms. Stapleton continues to develop and share her leadership skills with the community as a member of the Centurions and Kansas City Tomorrow; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature commends Carrie Stapleton for sharing her time and expertise with the Jackson County community on both a personal and professional level.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
