Body
WHEREAS, for 50 years, the Kansas City KEYS has remained steadfast in its mission to uplift and empower Kansas City youth through education, athletics, mentorship, and life-enriching opportunities; and,
WHEREAS, the Kansas City KEYS has played a vital role in shaping generations of young people by providing programs that foster academic excellence, leadership development, character building, and community engagement; and,
WHEREAS, the organization’s commitment to scholarships, educational advancement, athletic programming, and meaningful youth experiences has helped countless young people realize their potential and strive toward excellence; and,
WHEREAS, the Kansas City KEYS continues to embody a deep love for Kansas City and a belief that greatness lives within every young person; and
WHEREAS, the milestone of 50 years reflects not only the longevity of the organization, but also the dedication of its leaders, volunteers, partners, and sponsors whose support has made its mission possible; and,
WHEREAS, this anniversary invites businesses, organizations, and community partners to join in sustaining and expanding this important work so that future generations may benefit from the same opportunities and encouragement; and,
WHEREAS, the Kansas City KEYS have proven that by investing in our youth, we invest in the strength, growth, and future of our community; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the Jackson County Legislature recognizes and honors the Kansas City KEYS for 50 years of outstanding service, impact, and commitment to youth development in Kansas City; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we celebrate this remarkable milestone and encourage continued partnership and support to ensure that excellence remains in sight for every young person the organization serves.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
