Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 14853, dated January 5, 2004, the County Legislature did designate the improvement of Harry S Truman Drive between 125th Street and Crystal Avenue as a priority within the County Urban Road System within the City of Grandview; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Grandview has authorized, by passage of its ordinance no. 5917 of June 14, 2005, a County Urban Road System (CURS) Supplemental Agreement for Public Improvements of Harry S Truman Drive between 125th Street and Crystal Avenue, Project No. 2999; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Grandview has further dedicated the amount of $2,074,628.00 from its Transportation Sales Tax Fund for use by the County for these improvements pursuant to the proposed Supplemental Agreement; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended the proposed use of funds and the execution of the Supplemental Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A as benefitting the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made from the 2005 Special Road & Bridge Fund for the allocation of new revenues to be received from the City of Grandview via the Grandview Transportation Sales Tax for the purpose of CURS improvements to Harry S Truman Drive:
