A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute a Second Addendum to the agreement with the Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center for the purpose of engaging in anti-drug prevention activities under a subcontract with the 12th Street Heritage Corporation, at no additional cost to the County.

Body

WHEREAS, by Resolution 13928, dated December 10, 2001, the Legislature authorized a contract with Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center, among other agencies, to provide anti-drug treatment and rehabilitation services for the purpose of treating users of illegal drugs, at a cost to the County not to exceed $16,078.44; and,

 

WHEREAS, by Resolution 14421, dated December 17, 2002, the Legislature did authorize the County Executive to execute an Addendum to this Agreement which directed the health center to subcontract with the 12th Street Heritage Corporation for the purpose of providing services for the prevention of illegal drug use and drug-related offenses, in the amount of $12,500.00; and,

 

WHEREAS, the COMBAT Commission now recommends that the payment terms of this addendum be accelerated; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the  County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the attached Second Addendum to Agreement with the Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement and all addenda thereto.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
