Body
WHEREAS, the Parks + Rec Department has a need for park furnishings, such as picnic tables and benches, at park sites throughout the County; and,
WHEREAS, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Invitation to Bid No. 26-008 for the provision of such park site furnishings; and,
WHEREAS, notifications were distributed and eight (8) responses were received and evaluated from the following:

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a twelve-month term and supply contract, with three (3) twelve-month options to extend, for the furnishing of park site furnishings to Playscape Recreation, LLC of Yates Center, KS as the lowest and best bid; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate the County to pay any specific amount, with availability of funds for specific purchases subject to annual appropriation, with annual estimated spending of $65,000.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing and that the Interim Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishments of the award and any extensions; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contracts, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
