Body
WHEREAS the County has been awarded a grant from the Missouri Department of Public Safety to provide the City of Kansas City with funds to hire one full time victim advocate, two part-time attorneys, and to cover the costs of copier rental and travel and registration expenses for two conferences; and,
WHEREAS, the total project cost is $158,834.00 and requires an in-kind match of $84,372.00 which is being provided by the City of Kansas City; and,
WHEREAS, the City and the County have received approval from the Missouri Department of Public Safety for a proposed budget for the 2005 grant; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriations be and hereby is made within the 2005 Grant Fund:

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement with the City of Kansas City, Missouri for the 2005 KC STOP Violence Grant in a form to be approved by the County Counselor at a cost to the County not to exceed $74,462.00.
