Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 15186, dated October 18, 2004, the County Legislature did approve the County entering into a contract with Custom Lightning Service, LLC for the installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of Buckner Tarsney Road and Sni-A-Bar Road; and,
WHEREAS, unforseen expenses associated with right-of-way acquisition resulted in a design change and an estimated $10,000.00 increase in construction costs; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Grain Valley agrees to contribute $10,000.00 toward the additional expenses under the terms of the attached Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement; and,
WHEREAS, the installation of the traffic signal is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to sign the aforesaid contract.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
