A RESOLUTION transferring $25,000 within the 1999 General Fund and authorizing the County Executive to execute an Agreement with the Office of the Missouri State Auditor to assist the Legislative Auditor with her audit of the Jackson County Detention Center Project, at a cost to the County not to exceed $25,000.

Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 12794, dated June 25, 1999, the Legislature did direct the Legislative Auditor to conduct an audit of the financial transactions and accounts relating to the Jackson County Detention Center Annex Project; and,
WHEREAS, by that same Resolution, the Legislature requested the Missouri State Auditor to register such assistance in this audit as she deems appropriate; and,
WHEREAS, the Legislative Auditor has now finalized the scope of the proposed audit and has reached an understanding with the office of the State Auditor as to the nature and extent of that office's proposed involvement in the audit; and,
WHEREAS, the attached agreement provides a suitable mechanism by which to implement this agreement and understanding of the parties; and,
WHEREAS, in order to fund this expenditure, a transfer within the 1999 General Fund is necessary; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the unappropriated surplus of the 1999 General Fund be and hereby is made:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
