Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 16128, dated January 8, 2007, the County did contract with the Mercer Group, Inc., to provide executive search and recruitment services; and,
WHEREAS, prior to recruitment beginning, the Chief Administrative Officer was appointed, reducing the contract cost and eliminating certain expenses of recruitment; and
WHEREAS, the Medical Examiner is in need of recruiting a board-certified forensic pathologist and has requested assistance in doing so; and,
WHEREAS, Mercer Group, Inc., has proposed to conduct the recruitment for $16,500 plus expenses in the amount of $8,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, in order to fund this expenditure, a transfer is necessary; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2007 Health Fund be and hereby is made:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an Addendum to the Agreement with Mercer Group, Inc., to provide executive search and recruitment services for a board- certified forensic pathologist, at a cost to the County not to exceed $24,500.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
