Body
WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Social Services Division of Youth Services has awarded a grant to the Family Court Division of the Circuit Court for its After School Supervision Education and Treatment Project; and,
WHEREAS, the After School Supervision Education and Treatment Project provides academic and skill building activities as a means of reducing the rate of juvenile offender recidivism; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary in order to place the grant monies in the proper spending accounts for use by the Family Court Division; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2006 Grant Fund be and hereby is made:
