Body

WHEREAS, by Ordinance 3086, dated October 23, 2000, the Legislature did authorize an Agreement between the County and County Court Services of Kansas City, Missouri, whereby County Court Services would provide the Prosecuting Attorney's Office with counseling and MATRIX Model treatment services for its methamphetamine-using clients; and,

WHEREAS, by Resolution 13711, dated June 4, 2001, the County did authorize a First Addendum to the Agreement, extending the time of services to be performed under the Agreement for a period of three months, at no additional cost to the County; and,

WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney's Office now desires to further extend the time for services to be performed under the Agreement for an additional four months, at no additional cost to the County; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Second Addendum to the Agreement with County Court Services of Kansas City, Missouri; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, on the Agreement, and Second Addendum thereto.

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
