BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) district, LI (Light Industrial) district, and the "LI-p" (Light Industrial-Planned Development) district so that there will be transferred from Districts A and LI to District LI-p a tract of land described as follows:
Description: The 4.0 ± acres is approximately 200 feet west of Shrout Road (Main Entrance to Lake Lotawana) on the south side of Colbern Road and more specifically described:
ALL THAT PART OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 29, TOWNSHIP 48, RANGE 30, JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI BEING DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
COMMENCING AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER SAID SECTION 29, THENCE NORTH 87°41'10" WEST ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF SAID QUARTER QUARTER SECTION 225.00 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 02°09'02" WEST PARALLEL TO THE EAST LINE OF SAID QUARTER QUARTER SECTION 40.00 FEET TO THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 7, STORMS CENTER, A SUBDIVISION IN JACKSON COUNTY, SAID POINT BEING THE POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE NORTH 87°41'10" WEST ALONG THE SOUTH RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF COLBERN ROAD AN PARALLEL TO THE NORTH LINE OF SAID QUARTER QUARTER SECTION 559.45 FEET TO THE EAST LINE OF A TRACT RECORDED AS DOCUMENT NUMBER I-485244, BOOK 1140, PAGE 786' THENCE SOUTH 02°17'12" WEST ALONG THE EAST LINE OF SAID TRACT 636.24 FEET TO THE NORTH LINE OF A TRACT RECORDED AS DOCUMENT NUMBER 585710, BOOK 953, PAGE 534; THENCE SOUTH 87°38'33" EAST ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF SAID TRACT AND PARALLEL TO THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID QUARTER QUARTER SECTION 200.00 FEET; THENCE NORTH 02°17'12" EAST 236.20 FEET; THENCE NORTH 74°27'40" WEST 80.23 FEET; THENCE NORTH 42°42'48" EAST, 45.11 FEET; THENCE NORTH 2°17'12" EAST, 41.09 FEET; THENCE NORTH 23°04;44" EAST, 103.76 FEET; THENCE NORTH 47°18'50" EAST, 66.27 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 87°41'10" EAST, 186.12 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 2°09'02" WEST, 5.00 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 87°41'10" EAST; THENCE SOUTH 42°41'10" EAST, 58.90 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 2°09'02" WEST, 41.96 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 17°53'05" WEST, 59.18 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 87°50'58" EAST 76.05 FEET TO THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 8, STORMS CENTER; THENCE NORTH 02°09'02" EAST ALONG THE WEST LINE OF STORMS CENTER 310.41 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING CONTAINING 4.09 ACRES MORE OR LESS.
Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Aaron Day (RP-2000-187), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Planning Commission favorably recommended this application in a public hearing on March 16, 2000, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
