IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title AN ORDINANCE amending the districts established by the Jackson County Zoning Order by changing from A (Agricultural) to RE (Residential Estates), a certain 22.4 + acre tract and approving the preliminary plat "Conway Estates," creating a five-lot residential subdivision. Intro ORDINANCE 2767, December 8, 1997 INTRODUCED BY Dennis Waits, County Legislator Body BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows: Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE a tract of land described as follows: Legal Description: A 22.4 ñ acre tract of land is generally located at the northeast corner of Cook Road and Major Road lying in a part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 17, Township 48, Range 30, in Jackson County, Missouri, more particularly described as follows: COMMENCING at the Northeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 17, thence South 01 59'27" West, along the East line of said Northeast Quarter Section, a distance of 1564.98 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence continuing South 01 59'27" West, a distance of 1088.34 feet to the Southeast corner of said Northeast Quarter Section; thence North 87 53'30" West, along the South line of said Northeast Quarter Section, a distance of 1067.24 feet to a tract of land described in Book I-2748 at page 606, recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds in Independence, Missouri; thence North 1 51'00" East, along the East line of said tract, a distance of 314.90 feet; thence North 88 19'35" West, along the North line of said tract, a distance of 322.00 feet to a point in the West line of the East 5 acres of the West One-half said N.E. Quarter Section; thence North 01 54'52" East, along said line, a distance of 775.14 feet; thence South 87 55'22" East, a distance of 1391.04 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, excepting therefrom the north 313.10 feet, containing 22.405 acres, more or less including the road right of way. Section 2. The preliminary plat "Conway Estates," creating a five-lot residential subdivision, is hereby approved. Section 3. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of William Conway (RZ-97-084), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on November 20, 1997, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning...Attorney Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
