WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Public Safety has awarded a Victim Advocacy Grant in the amount of $46,738.00 to the Prosecuting Attorney's Office to cover the salary and benefits for a victim advocate for its Victim Advocacy Program; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the grant in the appropriate spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2004 Grant Fund be and hereby is made:
