WHEREAS, the City of Independence, Missouri, has requested the use of $972,698.00 from its CURS refund account for use in its road projects as follows;
Little Blue Parkway Phase 3 $ 42,524
(39th Street & I-70)
Crysler Avenue Project ROW $600,000
(Between 31st Street & 39th Street)
Crysler Avenue Phase 2 $170,000
(23rd Street & 31st Street)
Little Blue Parkway Phase I Final $ 174
(I-70 & 40 Highway)
Truman Road Improvements $160,000
(Between 291 Highway & Vista)
and,
WHEREAS, the Legislature finds that the projects proposed by the City will benefit the citizens of Independence and the citizens of Jackson County; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that pursuant to Chapter 28, Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to issue a check in the amount of $972,698.00 to the City of Independence.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
