WHEREAS, the Jackson County Legislature desires to hold a closed meeting on Monday, February 2, 2026, during the regularly scheduled meeting of the Legislature; and,
WHEREAS, public notice of such closed meeting has been given by inclusion of this Resolution on the published agenda for said meeting; and,
WHEREAS, the purpose of such closed meeting is to conduct privileged and confidential communications concerning documents related to a negotiated contract that has not been executed; and,
WHEREAS, such closed meeting is allowable under section 610.021(12) of the Revised Statutes of Missouri; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature be authorized to hold a closed meeting during the regularly scheduled meeting of the Legislature on Monday, February 2, 2026, pursuant to section 610.021(12), RSMo, and closing all records prepared in connection therewith.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
