Body
WHEREAS, Adam J. Witt, a senior at Rockhurst High School, has attained the rank of Eagle Scout; and,
WHEREAS, Adam entered scouting in 1991, when he was a second-grader at St. Francis Xavier grade school and moved up to Boy Scouts in 1995; and,
WHEREAS, Adam, a member of Troop 25, sponsored by St. Francis Xavier parents and friends of Catholic Scouting, Inc., has held leadership positions including, patrol leader and assistant senior patrol leader; and,
WHEREAS, his Eagle Scout project involved rebuilding shelves in the basement of the Catholic Worker House in Kansas City, Missouri; and,
WHEREAS, Adam received the Honor Camper Award in 1997, the Honor Scout Award in 2001, and has earned 35 merit badges and the Ad Altari Dei Religious Emblem Award; and,
WHEREAS, in recognition of his outstanding achievements, Adam will receive the rank of Eagle Scout during a ceremony to be held on Sunday, November 4, 2001, at St. Francis Xavier Church; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby extends sincere congratulations Adam J. Witt upon attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
