AN ORDINANCE amending the districts established by the Jackson County Zoning Order by changing from A (Agricultural) to LI (Light Industrial), a certain 3.77 + acre tract.

ORDINANCE 3074, October 9, 2000

 

 

Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "LI" (Light Industrial) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District LI a tract of land described as follows:

Description:

 

A 3.77  ± acre tract of land generally located 4/10 of a mile west of Brizendine Road on the south side of U.S. Highway 40 and more specifically described:

 

A tract of land in the north half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 32, Township 49, Range 30, Jackson County, Missouri described as follows:  Commencing at the Southwest corner of the North half of said Quarter Section ; thence South 89 degrees 13 minutes 59 seconds East along the South line of the North half of said Quarter Section, 600.00 feet for a  True Point of Beginning; thence continuing South 89 degrees 13 minutes 59 seconds East , 370.13 feet; thence North 0 Degrees 22 minutes 54 seconds East, 463.29 feet (Deed=North 0 degrees 24 minutes 59 seconds East, 463.14 feet) feet to a point on the south South right-of-way line of U.S. Highway No. 40; thence South 84 degrees 37 minutes 38 seconds West (Deed=South 84 degrees 39 minutes 19 seconds West) along said right-of-way line, 372.00 feet; thence South 0 degrees 22 minutes 52 seconds West, 423.50 feet (Deed = South 0 degrees 24 minutes 59 seconds West, 423.53 feet) to the Point of the Beginning.

 

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Steiner Electric Co., Inc., d/b/a Paragon Electric Co. (RZ-2000-205), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on September 21, 2000, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
