Body
WHEREAS, the City of Blue Springs has requested anti-drug sales tax funding in the amount of $8,000.00 for its Y.O.U. II program; and,
WHEREAS, this program is a cooperative effort with the City of Oak Grove to identify and counsel juveniles with at-risk behavior from the City of Oak Grove; and,
WHEREAS, the at its meeting of March 14, 2002, the COMBAT Commission endorsed this proposal; and,
WHEREAS, the attached contract provides a suitable mechanism by which the requested funds can be transferred to the city; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached contract with the city of Blue Springs, for its Y.O.U. II program; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
