Body

 WHEREAS Steve Roland, Support Center Administrator for the Information Technology Department, is celebrating his 30th Anniversary as an associate of Jackson County; and,

 

WHEREAS, Steve Roland began his journey with Jackson County's Information Technology (IT) Department in August of 1993, filling the role of a third shift mainframe Computer Operator, demonstrating an early passion for technology and a willingness to contribute to the County's advancement; and,

 

WHEREAS, Steve’s unwavering determination and exceptional work ethic led to successive promotions within the IT Department, elevating him to positions of greater responsibility, including Helpdesk Specialist, Network Support Tech, and his current role as Support Center Administrator; and,

 

WHEREAS, throughout his tenure, Steve has exhibited an unparalleled commitment to customer service, epitomizing the spirit of "basically get stuff done," and fostering a positive and solution-oriented environment for his colleagues at Jackson County; and,

 

WHEREAS, Steve’s exceptional contributions have not gone unnoticed, as he has been recognized as Employee of the Month twice and Employee of the Year once, a testament to his exceptional dedication and impact on the County's operations; and,

 

WHEREAS, Steve’s leadership extended beyond his own role, as evidenced by his supervision of a Network Technician who received a PERD award, further highlighting his commitment to nurturing the growth and success of his fellow associates; and,

 

WHEREAS, Steve is a beloved husband to Jamie Roland, a proud father of four children, and a doting grandfather of nine grandchildren; and,

 

WHEREAS, Steve’s involvement in the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church of Kansas City, Missouri, and his passion for sports, particularly his allegiance to the Texas Longhorns, exemplify his multifaceted interests and connections within the community; and,

 

WHEREAS, Steve’s unceasing dedication, his ability to forge friendships across the County's diverse landscape of service, and his commitment to excellence have made an indelible mark on Jackson County; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the Legislature hereby extends its heartfelt congratulations and sincere appreciation to Steve Roland on the occasion of his 30th year anniversary.

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
