A RESOLUTION congratulating Peter Anthony Stone upon successfully completing all requirements to attain Scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout.

Body

WHEREAS, Faith Christian Academy graduate Peter Anthony Stone has successfully completed all requirements to attain Scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout, and will be recognized on November 8, 2009, at 12:30 p.m., at Holy Rosary Catholic Church; and,

 

WHEREAS, Peter began scouting as a Cub Scout in Pack 4165; and,

 

WHEREAS, Peter is currently a member of Troop 80 and has held leadership positions of Patrol Leader and Assistant Scoutmaster; and,

 

WHEREAS, for his Eagle Scout project, Peter benefitted the Budd Park Christian Church Youth Center, where he refurbished a classroom; and,

 

WHEREAS, Peter is "Keeper of the Sacred Bundle" in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say Boy Scout Honor Program, his tribal name is "Shivering Frog in the Moonlight," and he has earned a total of 25 merit badges; and,

WHEREAS, Peter's parents, Melissa and Chris Kunellis, join in Peter's celebration of this honor; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Peter Anthony Stone upon successfully completing all requirements to attain Scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout, and extends well-deserved recognition for his contributions to the Jackson County community.

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
