Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Drug Commission has recommended agreements with 12th Street Heritage Development Corporation for its Re-Entry Program at a cost to the County not to exceed $12,500.00, and with the Kansas City Crime Commission for its DNA Back-Log Program, at a cost to the County not to exceed $3,722.00, for anti-drug prevention services from January 1, 2012, to December 31, 2012; and,
 
WHEREAS, the execution of agreements for the services of these agencies is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute agreements with 12th Street Heritage Development Corporation and the Kansas City Crime Commission, at an aggregate cost to the County not to exceed $16,222.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreements.

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
