Anti-Drug Committee Amendment September 8, 1998 IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title AN ORDINANCE appropriating $100,000.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 1998 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund to cover a pass-through from the City of Kansas City of funds received by the City on a Local Law Enforcement Block Grant from the United States Department of Justice, and authorizing the County Executive to execute two separate Cooperative Agreements with the City of Kansas City. Intro ORDINANCE 2842, August 31, 1998 INTRODUCED BY Dennis Waits, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City has been notified that it has been awarded a Local Law Enforcement Block Grant by the United States Department of Justice; and, WHEREAS, the City has proposed to pass-through a portion of the grant's proceeds to the County for use in on-site drug testing which will be bid out as part of the County's anti-drug programs; and, WHEREAS, the City has requested that the attached Cooperative Agreements be executed to provide a mechanism by which these funds can be turned over to the County; now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 1998 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund: Department/Division Character Description From To Increase Revenue $100,000 Unappropriated Surplus $100,000 Unappropriated Surplus $100,000 Prosecuting Attorney Local Law Enforcement Block Grant - Cooperative Agreement with Kansas City Other Contractual Services $50,000 Other Equipment $50,000 and, BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Cooperative Agreements with the City of Kansas City, MO...Attorney Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
